Mentzer Appointed to Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency Mar. 01, 2019 HARRISBURG – Rep. Steve Mentzer (R-Lititz) was recently appointed to the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) by House Speaker Mike Turzai (R-Allegheny) for the 2019-20 Legislative Session. “I am honored Speaker Tuzai selected me to join one of our nation’s leading student aid organizations,” Mentzer said. “Helping to develop innovative ways to ease the financial burden of higher education for students, families and taxpayers dovetails perfectly with our #GoodJobs4PA initiative.” Mentzer, in his fourth term, serves on the House Aging and Older Adult Services, Tourism, Insurance, and Professional Licensure committees. PHEAA conducts its student loan servicing activities nationally as American Education Services (AES) and FedLoan Servicing. AES’s mission is to guarantee and service a variety of Federal Family Education Loan Program and private student loan products for lending partners throughout the nation. FedLoan Servicing supports the U.S. Department of Education's ability to service student loans owned by the federal government. The 97th Legislative District comprises Lititz, all of Warwick Township and the majority of Manheim Township.
